History

The state of Jammu and Kashmir having a zone of 84,471 square miles lies within the North East of Pakistan and North West of India. Russia, China and Afghanistan too share its border towards the North. Region shrewd, the State of Jammu and Kashmir was the biggest state within the sub-continent of Indo-Pak among the 562 regal states of the Sub-continent at the time of its division, and still claims the same status. Its region is nearly rise to the entire range of Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Austria and Albania, all put together, in spite of the fact that it is marginally littler than Awesome Britain.

Land and people

The Kashmir locale is transcendently hilly, with profound, limited valleys and tall, desolate levels. The moderately low-lying Jammu and Punch (Poonch) fields within the southwest are isolated by the thickly forested Himalayan foothills and the Pir Panjal Extend of the Lesser Himalayas from the bigger, more prolific, and more intensely populated Vale of Kashmir to the north. The vale, arranged at a rise of approximately 5,300 feet (1,600 meters), constitutes the bowl of the upper Jhelum Waterway and contains the city of Srinagar. Jammu and the vale lie in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, whereas the Punch marshes are to a great extent in Azad Kashmir.
